Wrinkled and Unready

And then I suddenly realize it’s March 8th … and that means the second movie I’ve been waiting for these last 20 months is finally opening … and I’m unprepared!!

Yes, I have been having all kinds of fun seeing Black Panther again and again and again (and am making plans for at least one more theater viewing). But how did I somehow manage to forget about planning to see A Wrinkle in Time this weekend?!

And my blockbuster movie friend is out of the country!

And I’m still really exhausted and just want to sleep as much as possible this weekend!

Okay, deep breaths.

Yes, yes of course. It’s just a movie. Just a movie. A movie. Yes. Of course.

Whew. Somehow this will all work out. I hope I learn from this and do a much better job with Infinity War comes out this spring!

It’s the annual Slice of Life Story Challenge over at Two Writing Teachers! With hundreds of folks participating, there’s more than a little something for everyone … and plenty of room for you to join in!

  1. Hmmm…Would it help to know it isn’t getting the best reviews? I haven’t read the book in a while, so I think it will be OK for me to go see the movie. I hope it lives up to your expectations!

    1. I never read the book as a child. I read it last year for the first time to get ready for the movie. I didn’t love it, but I could see why other people did, why it would have been a huge favorite if I’d read it as a kid. Not loving the book didn’t dim my interest in the film, however. And I will dismiss the critics until I see it for myself! 🙂

  2. I can’t wait to see this movie as well, though I’ve slacked on re-reading the book beforehand! I’ve also seen Black Panther, and did you know there are only 50 days left until Infinity War???

  3. Oh Stacey! If you need a backup major blockbuster movie buddy, just yell over this way. You know I had to see this opening weekend. You will enjoy “A Wrinkle In Time” if for nothing but the visuals and the lead actress.
